Kevin Zak

Born and raised in Livingston, NJ, I found my passion for filmmaking and video content creation from an early age, making funny YouTube videos with my friends. By the time I reached high school, I had decided this was what I wanted to do with my life and joined my high schools’s broadcast/film program which was a selective group of about 20 students in a school of around 1,200. From there, I enrolled at the University of Miami in 2021 as a Motion Pictures Production major with a minor in Electronic Media, and graduated in May 2025, where I spent my 4 years diving headfirst into the production of short films, documentaries, commercials, music videos, broadcasts, and more, taking interest in a wide variety of skill sets that surround cinema including directing, writing, cinematography, editing, sound, and animation. Although I sell myself as a director/writer/producer, I have done the necessary deep dives down each of the rabbit holes of each of these skill sets, making me a confident video creator all around. In my sophomore year at UM, I became a broadcast/video production intern at the university’s athletic program, where I spent time as a cameraman for our school’s sports games which were broadcasted on ACCN and ESPN. There’s a chance you saw one of my shots, court side with the camera, during the 2023 Canes basketball playoff run! Later that year, I interned remotely for a production company in LA where I was the lead editor on a short film. Most recently, I interned at Tel-Air Interests in Miami, Florida, popular for their production of Miss Universe and several Bee Gees music videos, where I was an all-around production and editing intern, working on documentaries, TV broadcasts, and more. In my spare time, I have spent my time in the music scene, learning audio engineering and DJing - further enhancing my love for the entertainment industry as a whole.
